Summer 2017 Dates: June 12 -July 20, 2017

 

The Summer Research Academy at Missouri S&T is an opportunity for talented students across the country to conduct meaningful, non-competitive, academic research. Each participant will be paired with a faculty mentor and graduate students to conduct a research project in  sciences, mathematics, computing or engineering. At the conclusion of the program the participants will exhibit their research in a summer research showcase. Students will not only gain experience in college level research, but will also be immersed in the college experience.

Missouri S&T believes that research is an essential opportunity that should be open to everyone, not just scholars or graduate students. Research is more than gathering data, analyzing trends or formulating new ideas, it is an experience! By taking ownership of your own project, we invite you to spend the summer molding your own experience.

We are working hard to plan social events, industry field trips, guest lectures, hands-on activities and a wonderful summer experience!

Summer Research Academy

Eligibility: Rising senior or college freshman. Must be 16 years of age by June 1

Application Deadline: April 14, 2017
